In one sentence: the app uses your phone's GPS to tell you where you are and what's around you. It has no accounts, never asks for your name or email, carries no analytics, no advertising, and sells nothing to anyone.

What data the app uses

Your location. The app asks for precise location permission to tell you where you are, what region or sea is below you, which airports are nearby and what you can see out of the window. Without that permission those screens can't work; the rest of the app still does.

Nothing else. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or calendar. There is no sign-up and no user account: there is nowhere to write down who you are.

Where it is stored

On your phone. The flight log, the settings and the downloaded data (airports, maps, airspace) live in the app's private storage. Uninstall the app and they go with it.

We do not store your location on any server. There is no database of your movements, because no such database exists.

What leaves the phone, and where it goes

Only this, and only when there is a connection:

The app does not send your track, your flight log or your settings anywhere.

What the app does not have

This is not a promise: it can be checked by opening the app package.

The server and its logs

The site mdavion.com keeps a technical access log, like any web server. The internet address is stored truncated: 181.95.26.234 becomes 181.95.26.0, which is enough to count visits and no longer identifies a person.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. As there are no accounts or sign-up, there is no profile that could be tied to a person.

Your rights

Since we keep no personal data of yours on any server, there is nothing to ask us to delete. The data the app stores is on your phone and you erase it by uninstalling the app or from the system settings.

Location permission can be withdrawn at any time from Android settings, and the app keeps working with whatever it has already downloaded.

Changes

If any of this changes — for example, the day the app lets you send a photo — this page is updated in the same release that ships the feature, not afterwards. The date above says when it last changed.
